ORDER
(Order of the court was delivered by G.R.Swaminathan, J.) Heard both sides.
2.The petitioner's husband is undergoing life sentence in Central Prison, Trichy. He has so far spent eight years and eleven months in prison. He is eligible for 28 days ordinary leave. The petitioner's request was favourably considered by the jail authorities. Leave was granted with escort. The petitioner feels aggrieved by the said condition. 3.We are satisfied that a case for modification has been made out. The petitioner should however furnish two responsible sureties. In this view of the matter, we grant twenty eight (28) days ordinary leave in favour of the petitioner's husband.

4.The writ petition is allowed on the following conditions:- (a)The convict-prisoner, Ravi @ Ravichandran, S/o.Balu, [Convict Prisoner No.17104] now detained at Central Prison, Trichy is granted ordinary leave for twenty eight (28) days from 24.12.2024 to 20.01.2025 without escort.
(b) The convict prisoner shall be released from the prison at 05.00 p.m., on 23.12.2024 and he shall return to the prison at 10.00 a.m., on 21.01.2025. (c) During the said leave period, he shall report before the Inspector of Police, Thiruvidaimaruthur Police Station, Thanjavur District daily at 07.00 a.m., and 07.00 p.m., from 24.12.2024 onwards, without fail. (d) During the leave period, the convict prisoner shall abide by all the conditions prescribed in the Jail Manual. No costs.
