ORDER

The petitioner/de-facto complainant has filed this petition stating that, following a complaint lodged by him, a case was registered under Crime No.359 of 2018 on 25.10.2018 for offences under Sections 457 1/4

and 380 of the I.P.C. After the charge sheet was filed in 2019, the trial has been delayed for various reasons. The petitioner has already been examined, but so far, only 4 witnesses have been examined, and the remaining witnesses are yet to be examined. Therefore, the petitioner has requested that a time frame be set for the completion of the trial.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that totally there are 15 witnesses in this case, of which 4 witnesses have already been examined. Eleven witnesses remain to be examined. The next hearing is scheduled for 24.12.2024, during which some more witnesses will be examined. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor assured that the trial could be completed within a period of three months.

3. Recording the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. NCC : Yes / No 20.12.2024 Index : Yes / No smn2 2/4
