ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to cancel the settlement deed in Document No.1/2071/2022 dated 2/6

30.12.2022 on the file of the 6th respondent, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024 forthwith.

2. Considering the nature of the order going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. A perusal of the representation dated 18.11.2024 submitted by the petitioner reveals that the petitioner sought for cancellation of the settlement deed in Document No.1/2071/2022 dated 30.12.2022 on the file of the 6th respondent.

4. The registering authority has no power or jurisdiction to cancel any document, which was registered by the registering authority. Therefore, the representation dated 18.11.2024 submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the petitioner ought to have filed a suit challenging the settlement deed in the manner known to law. 3/6

5. In view of the above, this writ petition is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed. No costs.
