************ [Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.] By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Mandamus, to forbear the fourth respondent from conducting or confirming the Tender for the shops in Arignar Anna Pudhiya Perunthu Nilayam Bus stand and New Market at Valliyur, Tirunelveli District without completing the construction, more particularly without providing basic amenities such as free public toilets, disbled friendly toiled, electricity connection, water supply, passengers waiting area, cloak room, under ground drainage etc., within the time frame stipulated by this Court. 3.The learned Standing Counsel for the Panchayat would submit that the tender for allotment of shops in Arignar Anna Pudhiya Perunthu Nilayam was already conducted on 18.12.2024 and shops have also been allotted to the successful bidders and the same has also been approved by the Council on 31.12.2024. Likewise, insofar as the prayer 3/6
for forbearing the respondents from conducting any auction for the New Market at Valliyur, is concerned, learned Standing Counsel would submit that the tender itself has been deferred. As such, the prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition has become infructuous. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
