PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner with regard to the dispose on revision petition dated 22.08.2024, and pass orders within a limited time frame in the light of his revision petition filed U/S 153 of Tamil Nadu Co-operatives Societies Act on 22.08.2024.

ORDER

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by an employee of the fifth respondent Co-operative Society, seeking a mandamus as against the third respondent to consider his revision petition filed under section 153 of Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act and pass orders as expeditious as possible.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved over the proceedings of the fifth respondent dated 31.05.2023, wherein, the terminal benefits were directed to be retained. Challenging the said order, on 22.08.2024, the petitioner has filed a revision petition before the third respondent under Section 153 of TamilNadu Cooperative Societies Act. The said revision petition is yet to be disposed of. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

3. Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to pass orders on the revision petition dated 22.08.2024, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
