JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.

2.The appellant is working as a part-time lecturer in the fourth respondent college. He seeks enhancement of the honorarium payable to him. Since his request was not conceded, he filed W.P(MD)No.20117 of 2024. The learned single Judge vide order dated 23.08.2024 dismissed the writ petition. Challenging the same, this Writ Appeal has been filed. 2/4

3.The learned counsel appearing for the appellant reiterated all the contentions set out in the grounds of appeal. 4.We are not swayed by the said submissions. As rightly observed by the learned single Judge, the appellant cannot demand enhancement of honorarium as a matter of right. These are matters which have financial implications. The writ Court cannot issue any Mandamus in such cases. We endorse the reason assigned by the learned single Judge for dismissing the writ petition. There is no merit in this Writ Appeal.

5.This Writ Appeal stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
