ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to direct the respondent herein to grant patta in favour of the petitioners herein on the basis of the application submitted by them, dated 03.07.2024 within a time frame stipulated by this Court. 2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The Writ Petitioners contended that a suit for declaration and possession was filed and the suit got decreed in favour of the Writ Petitioners in O.S.No.692 of 2015 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Tirchirapalli, by judgment, dated 30.11.2023. On the strength of the judgment, the Writ Petitioners have submitted a representation to the District Collector on 20.09.2024 and the same was forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer. The said proceedings is now pending before the Tahsildar.

4.In view of above, the Tahsildar is directed to hold an enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after verifying whether any appeal is filed by the Government in pursuant to the above judgment. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, the Writ Petitioner is disposed of. No costs.
