ORDER

The prayer in the Writ Petition reads as follows:- "To issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide electricity connection to the Arulmigu Kottarathu Amman @ Kaliamman Temple situated at Keezhaurappanur, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai, in Survey No.195 based on the petitioner's application and joint representation dated 28.05.2024 within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court."

2. Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for first respondent on instruction would submit that the electricity connection as sought for cannot be given only because of certain objections received from one Rajkumar.

This Court is of the considered view that the Corporation would negate mischievous representation and further, the respondents are directed to give electricity connection to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 28.05.2024 to the aforesaid temple, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make an application afresh through online forthwith.

5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
