ORDER

By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.

Earlier, the petitioner filed writ petition in W.P(MD)No.3341 of 2022 before this Court and pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the 2nd respondent issued a legal heirship certificate of the petitioner's grandfather namely, Rajamani in favour of his legal heirs namely, Veerapandi, Chinnaraj and Rani, on the basis of which, a joint patta with respect to the property in Survey No.549/16 at Kulasekaran Kottai, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai, was issued by the 2nd respondent. In the meanwhile, the petitioner's uncle Chinnaraj had managed to cancel the above said patta which stood jointly in the names of Veerapandi and Rani and transfer the same in his favour. In this regard, the petitioner has made an appeal before the 1st respondent on 10.05.2024 to cancel the same. The said appeal is kept pending endlessly for the past more than six months.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 10.05.2024, after putting the said Chinnaraj on notice, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
