The petitioner/de facto complainant in Crime No.570 of 2024 has filed this petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to conduct a further investigation and include all the offences committed by the accused, as stated in the complaint and in the First Information Report (FIR) in Crime No.570 of 2024, dated 14.10.2024.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that she was seriously attacked and sustained severe injuries at the hands of the private respondents, namely, the second to the fourth respondents. Though the first respondent was aware that the petitioner had been seriously injured, the FIR was registered only for simple injury. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.11.2024 to the Commissioner of Police, Madurai. The respondent police have informed that the offences listed in the FIR are not proper and that the private respondents have not committed a serious offence. They further stated that if serious injuries had been caused, appropriate sections would have been included.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation has been Page No. 2 of 4

The first respondent police will enquire with the petitioner, who is a senior citizen aged about 70 years, collect documents, and record her statement. Based on the statement and materials, if a serious offence is made out, the appropriate sections would be altered accordingly, and the final report would be filed in this case.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
