This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein to cancel the joint patta issued to the respondents 4 to 7 in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2024.

2.There is no representation on the side of the petitioner. However, Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the competent authority being the Revenue Divisional Officer has not been arrayed as respondent in the present Writ Petition.

3.Considering the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to make an appropriate application to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on any such request being made by the petitioner for cancellation of patta, the Revenue Divisional 2/4

Officer, Dindigul shall decide the same in accordance with law after affording sufficient opportunities to the petitioner and all other interested parties concerned. This exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the application being submitted by the petitioner, if at all submitted. No costs.
