P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2024 and direct the respondents 1 to 4, to decline permission to the respondents 5 to 9, to perform consecration ceremony (Kumbabishegam) at Aladi Ayyanar Temple, Ammankudi Village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents 1 to 4, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2024 and direct the respondents 1 to 4, to decline permission to the respondents 5 to 9, to perform consecration ceremony (Kumbabishegam) at Aladi Ayyanar Temple, Ammankudi Village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

It is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 9, to perform consecration ceremony (Kumbabishegam) at Aladi Ayyanar Temple situated in S.No.7/3, Ammankudi village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District. Therefore, it is civil in nature and the respondents 1 to 4 have no role to play, in the request made by the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the civil Court for appropriate relief, in the manner known to law. No costs.
