ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and give necessary protection to conduct the Kabadi Tournament from 04.01.2025 and 05.01.2025 at Anna Sports Hall, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representations, dated 03.12.2024 and 12.12.2024.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that already the permission was rejected on the ground of law and order issue and recently, murder took place in the nearby area on 15.11.2024 and assured that if the petitioner suggest some other places, they will consider the representation of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner is at liberty to 2/4

approach the respondents by suggesting some other place. On such request given by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider his request as per law.

4. With the above observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
