ORDER
The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 21.12.2024 and give permission to conduct sports contest during the New Year Celebration Ceremony on 01.01.2025.
2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that already he submitted representation before the second respondent, dated 21.12.2024 to give permission to conduct the sports contest during the New Year Celebration which is going to be held on 01.01.2025 but no response from the second respondent. Thereby he filed the present writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner ought to have filed petition two weeks before the event but they received the petition only on 2/5
23.12.2024. However, the present place fixed for the event is not appropriate place to conduct the event. Therefore, the petitioner can choose the alternative place. If any alternative place identified by the petitioner, then the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law. Since the event is only for the children, this Court hope that the respondents will consider the representation of the petitioner favourably.
5. Recording the same, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
