ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN, J.) The present petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents/Police to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter namely, Vahini W/o.Jegadees, aged about 24 years and her granddaughter namely, Aathiti D/o. Jegadees, aged about 4 years, before this Court from the illegal custody of the 5th respondent and set them at liberty. 2.
The petitioner is the mother of the detenue Vahini, who married to one Jegadees in the year 2019 and out of the wedlock, a female child was born in the year 2021. Both the daughter and granddaughter of the petitioner were found missing on 22.01.2024. Hence, this petition has been filed. 3.
However, Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents/Police, on instructions, Page No.2 of 5
submitted that since the detenue Vahini was having illegal contact with the 5th respondent herein, the husband of the detenue Vahini, also filed a complaint before the Karnataka Police and the same was registered under 'woman missing'. He further submitted that the respondents/Police will secure the detenus within a period of two weeks and produce them before the concerned Court.

Recording the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondents/Police are directed to secure the detenus and produce them before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period two weeks from today, provided, the detenus are not secured and produced before the Court at Kerala State, where, the complaint filed by the husband of the detenue Vahini, is pending.
