Petitioner is the 4th accused in Crime No.271/CR/OCW-III/PKD/2013 of CBCID, Palakkad for the offences punishable under Sections 489B and 489C read with Section 34 IPC.

On 24.05.2013 at 8.20 a.m., 6 numbers of fake Indian currency notes of the denomination of `500/- were handed over to the CSK Petronet Petrol Pump, Akalad. The same were seized from the petrol bunk by the police at 4 p.m. The petitioner has been in custody for the period from 26.12.2014 onwards.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

The contents of the CD, prima facie, reveal the
BA.446/2015 : 2 :
complicity of the petitioner. It is alleged that the Sub Inspector of Police had conducted a search at the house of A4, from where 7 fake Indian currency notes of the denomination of `500/- were seized. It has also come out that it was from A5, the petitioner had received the fake currency notes. The investigation has a long way to go. The allegations against the petitioner are very grave and serious. Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioner and the present stage of investigation, I am of the view that the petitioner is not entitled to be enlarged on bail.
