O R D E R

Petitioner is the sole accused in Crime No.24 of 2015 of the Mananthavady Police Station registered for the offences under Sections 366A, 376 IPC and Section 3(a) and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

2. It is submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 13.01.2015 and he may be released on bail.

3. Heard.

4. The victim was on the verge of attaining majority when the alleged incident happened. Petitioner has been in custody since 13.01.2015. It appears that further detention is not necessary for completing the investigation.

In the result, this application is allowed.

1. The petitioner shall be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand only) with two solvent sureties each for the like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned.

2. He shall not attempt to contact or communicate with the victim nor shall he intimidate or attempt to influence the witnesses.

3. He shall not enter the territorial limits of the Mananthavady Police Station till the investigation is complete except for compliance of the directions in this order.

4. He shall appear before the investigating officer between 03.00 p.m. And 04.00 p.m. on every Saturday for four months, or till the final report is filed, whichever is earlier.

5. If the petitioner violates any of the above conditions, the court of enquiry/trial is empowered to cancel the bail in accordance with the law.
