Petitioners apprehend that they will be arrested by the police in connection with Crime No. 44 of 2015 of Koduvally Police Station.

Learned Public Prosecutor submits that the case has been registered for the offences under Sections 55(a) and 58 of the Abkari Act. The allegation is that they were found to be in possession of illicit liquor.

The application is opposed by the learned Public Prosecutor. There are no grounds to believe that the petitioners are not involved in the commission of the offences. So, anticipatory bail cannot be granted in view of Section 41A of the Abkari Act.
