Petitioner in all the aforesaid applications is the first accused in C.P.No.39/2014, C.P.No.35/2014, C.P.No.33/2014, C.P.No. 40/2014, C.P.No. 25/2014, C.P.No. 28/2014, C.P.No. 23/2014, and C.P.No.6/2014 respectively, of the Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court-1, Ernakulam pending as committal proceedings for the offences under Sections 344, 372, 373, 342, 376(D) and 109 read with Section 34 of the I.P. C. and sections 3 (1), 5(1)(d)(ii) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956. 3.

When the petitioner is the only accused in all the above cases, who is in custody, the court below is directed to commit the

B.A.Nos.1628/15 & cnncted case case to the concerned court, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The trial court will also take note of the fact that the matter relates to the year 1996 and thereby, the trial court shall also take appropriate steps for the expeditious disposal of the matter.
