Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.

2. Petitioner has allegedly committed the offences under sections 143, 147, 389 read with section 149 of IPC. He is a member of a labour union. The allegation against him is that he extorted money from a person who wanted to unload certain articles from a vehicle. In Kerala, this is known as 'Nokku Cooli'.

3. Heard the learned counsel.

4.

Prima facie, the prosecution documents reveal commission of the offences by the petitioner. This is extortion of money on the strength of labour union. Such organised crimes should be dealt with an iron hand. This is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail.

In the result, this application is dismissed. Sd/- K. ABRAHAM MATHEW JUDGE DST //True Copy// P.A. To Judge
