Petitioner is alleged to have committed the offences under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is that while working in the Saksharatha Mission in Nenmara Panchayath he forged a residential certificate, and made a duplicate seal of the Panchayath for the purpose of forgery.

The learned counsel submits that the petitioner is not involved in the commission of the offences. But the prosecution documents prima facie indicate that he is involved in the case. His custodial interrogation is necessary especially having regard to the fact that recovery has not been effected.
