Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.

Petitioner apprehends that he will be arrested by the Panangad police on the allegation that he has committed certain non bailable offences. The learned counsel submits that no case has been registered against him other than the one involved in CC.No.2625/2014 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Kochi and his apprehension is without any basis. In the light of the submission of the learned Public Prosecutor I think this application is liable to be dismissed.

In the result, this application is dismissed. If the petitioner happens to be arrested on the allegations mentioned in the bail application the investigating officer shall comply with Section 41A Cr.P.C.
