Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.

2. Petitioner is said to have committed the offences under Sections 468 and 471 IPC. The prosecution case is that he created a false SSLC book in his name and used it to apply for driving licence.

3. Heard.

4. The explanation of the petitioner is that he had entrusted the certificate to an agent and he (the petitioner) does not know who committed the forgery. Prima facie, this is not acceptable. To ascertain who committed the forgery and how it was committed custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary. This is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail.
