2. Petitioner is the accused in Crime No.174 of 2015 of Meppayur Police station registered for the offences under Sec.379 of the Indian Penal Code and Secs.20 and 21 of the Kerala Protection of River Banks and Regulation of Removal of Sand Act. The prosecution case is that he was found transporting river sand without any permit or other authority and when the police attempted to seize the vehicle, he ran away.
3. Heard both sides.
4. The materials relied on by the prosecution prima facie disclose commission of the offences by the petitioner. In the nature of the case anticipatory bail cannot be granted to the petitioner.
