Petition filed under Sec.439 Cr.P.C.
2. Petitioner is the 17th accused in Crime No.404 of 2013 of Alakode Police station registered for the offences under Secs.366A, 376 and 212 read with Sec.34 of the Indian Penal Code and Secs.1, 7, 8 and 17 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The prosecution case is that the mother of a minor girl sold her to one of the co-accused. Several people had sexual intercourse with her. The petitioner also committed rape on her.
3. Heard both sides.
4. The girl sold was a minor. Her mother introduced her into prostitution. The petitioner has allegedly committed rape on her. It is against public interest to grant him bail now even though he has been in custody since 25.04.2015. In the result, the bail application is dismissed.
