Petitioner is said to have committed rape on his step daughter, aged 13 years. He is accused of having committed the offences under Sections 376(2)(f)(i)(n) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 6, 9(n)(i), 10, 16 and 17 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Learned counsel submits that as the petitioner has been in custody since 16.05.2015, he may be released on bail. The petitioner is aged 35 years, the victim 13 years. She is his step daughter.
