Petitioner is alleged to have committed the offence under Section 55(i) of the Kerala Abkari Act. She was found selling Indian Made Foreign Liquor.

The petitioner was found selling Indian Made Foreign Liquor and she was arrested in the course of it. The Excise Officers seized 700 ml. of the liquor, a glass and an empty bottle. The application is opposed. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is 70 years old and she has been in custody since 24.06.2015 and she may be granted bail. But she has been involved in four other cases, the first of which was in 2009. It appears that if she is released on bail, she will repeat the offence. In the result, this application is dismissed.
