Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C.

2.

Petitioner is said to have committed the offences under Sections 55(a)(b),55(D), 55(A) and Section 58 of the Kerala Abkari Act. The prosecution case is that he was found to be in possession of 112.800 litres of artificial toddy and 800 ml. of spirit.

4.

The application is opposed. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 21.05.2015 and he may be granted bail. The offences alleged to have been committed by the petitioner would have resulted in a mass tragedy. It is against public interest to release him on bail at this stage.

In the result, this application is dismissed. Sd/- K. ABRAHAM MATHEW, JUDGE DST //True copy// P.A. To Judge
