Petitioner is alleged to have committed the offence under Section 55(i) of the Kerala Abkari Act. She was found to be in possession of one litre of Indian Made Foreign Liquor which she had kept near a culvert at a public place.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is 56 years old and she has been in custody since 02.07.2015 and she may be granted bail. But the application is opposed on the ground that she is involved in several cases under the Abkari Act. I am not satisfied that if she is released on bail, she will not commit the offence again.
