Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C.

2. Petitioner is accused in Crime No.548 of 2014 of Kayamkulam Police station (pending as S.C. No.363 of 2014 of the file of the Sessions Court, Alappuzha) registered for the offences under Secs.366 and 376(2)(i) of the Indian Penal Code and Sec.3 read with Sec.4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The prosecution case is that he kidnapped a girl aged 14 years and had sexual intercourse with her.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The petitioner has been in custody since 27.03.2014. He is aged 35 years. He is involved in 24 criminal cases and is being proceeded against under KAPPA. It is not at all proper to grant him bail at this stage.

In the result, the bail application is dismissed. The learned Sessions Judge is directed to dispose of the case without much delay.
