Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.

Petitioner is the accused in Crime No. 1451 of 2015 of Kollam East Police Station. He along with the co-accused is said to have committed the offences under Sections 143, 147, 148, 452, 294(b), 323,324, 308 and 427 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is that at 7.45 p.m. on 02.07.2015 the accused, 12 in number under the influence of liquor assaulted the victim with a broken beer bottle causing him several injuries. This incident happened at a bar. Again they assaulted the victim with a hockey stick causing him serious injuries.

The wound certificate shows that the victim sustained extensive injuries on his head. I do not find any reason to grant anticipatory bail.

In the result, this application is dismissed. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner will surrender before the
