Application for bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C.

2. Petitioner is the accused in Crime No.85/2015 of Kottarakkara Excise Range registered for offence punishable under Section 55 (i) of the Abkari Act.

3. Prosecution case, in short, is that on 05-08-2015 at 10 p.m., the accused was found in possession of 2.700 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor for the purpose of sale.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor.

5. The petitioner was arrested on 06-08-2015. Learned Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application contending that he is involved in three other crimes of similar nature. Considering the stage of investigation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, the bail application is dismissed Sd/- A.HARIPRASAD, JUDGE.
