According to the petitioner, he is apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.897/2013 of Perumbavur Police Station registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 463, 465 and 467 read with Section 34 IPC. 3.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Public Prosecutor. The learned Public Prosecutor has submitted that till now the petitioner has not been arraigned as an accused in the crime. His presence for investigation was required and, therefore, he was summoned to the police station and his specimen signature and thump impression were taken. Only after an analysis, the police can take a decision as to whether he should be made an accused or not. As things stand now, according to
BA.8393/2013 : 2 :
the learned Public Prosecutor, the police does not intend to place the petitioner under arrest.
