Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.

Petitioners are accused 3 and 2 in Crime No.838 of 2014 of Nallalam police station registered for the offences under Sections 379 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 20 and 21 of the Kerala Protection of River Banks & Regulation of Removal of Sand Act.

The prosecution case is that the first petitioner loaded a vehicle with river sand without any permit or other authority. The other petitioners and the other coaccused transported it in a vehicle. 4.

Heard.

The learned counsel submits that the offences alleged against the petitioners are not very serious. The petitioners were plundering the wealth of the nation. It is against public interest to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
