J U D G M E N T

The issue is covered by Raveendran v. State of India [2015 (3) KLT 210]. It has been held therein that the proceedings will not lapse. An Award would be passed only after the rules are framed under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re-settlement Act, 2013. No case for initiating proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act exist.

The Contempt Proceedings are hence dropped.
