JUDGMENT

The learned standing counsel for the respondent university on instructions would submit that the Vice Chancellor has already recommended in favour of the petitioner and the same is now placed before the syndicate for consideration. Ext.R1(b) is the copy of the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor. It was also submitted that a final decision will be taken on the next sitting of the syndicate. In the light of the said submission, the contempt case is closed directing the respondent university to take a final decision in the matter in the next meeting of the syndicate and reserving the right of the petitioner to approach this Court if the direction is not complied with.
