O R D E R
The petitioner is the husband of the third respondent in C.C. No. 581 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of the First Class, Nedumangad. He is charged with having committed the offence under section 498A IPC. On the ground that the matter has been settled between the parties he prays for quashing the proceedings in the criminal case.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the third respondent and the learned Public Prosecutor.
3. The third respondent has filed an affidavit to effect that the dispute has been settled and she has no objection to the proceedings in the criminal case being quashed. The petitioner and the third respondent are living together now. I am satisfied that the allegations are true and no public interest is involved in this case. In the result, the application is allowed. The
