ORDER

The petitioner, who is the accused in S.C. No. 215/2014 on the file of the Additional District and Sessions Court -V, Palakkad, has filed this Criminal Miscellaneous Case seeking an order directing the court below to dispose of the aforesaid case within a stipulated period. By order dated 10.04.2015, this Court called for a report from the Presiding Officer regarding the total pendency of the cases, the present stage of S.C. No. 215/2014 and also the time reasonably required to dispose of the same. 2.

Now, the Presiding Officer has forwarded a report dated 18.04.2015 to the Registrar, Subordinate Judiciary stating that atleast three months time is required for disposal of the case after framing of charge. A statement regarding pendency of cases before that court is also enclosed along with the letter. 3.

I heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

Crl. M.C. No. 2385 of 2015 2 Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Miscellaneous Case is disposed of directing the court below to dispose of S.C. No. 215/2014, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months after framing of charge.
