JUDGMENT

Even though Smt. Sumangala, the learned Government Pleader, very strenuously addressed us on the various grounds raised in the memorandum of appeal, we do not find any warrant for interference with the impugned judgment, where the reference court enhanced the land value of property in Kakkanad from Rs. 1375/- to Rs.22,992/- per Are. Having regard to the fact that the property situated is very near to Ernakulam District Headquarters and that the land value has increased ever since 1992, we are of the view that there is nothing unreasonable about the value re-fixed by the reference court. The appeal is accordingly, dismissed. No costs.
