Petition filed under section 482 Cr.P.C.

The petitioner is the accused in CC.No.875/2014 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Payyannur. He is charged with having committed the offences under Sections 354 and 448 of Indian Penal code. It is submitted that the matter has been settled. The prayer is to quash the proceedings in the criminal case.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the second respondent and the learned Public Prosecutor. 4.
The second respondent has filed an affidavit to the effect that the matter has been settled. I am satisfied that the matter has been settled and no public interest is involved in this case.
In the result, this Crl.M.C. is allowed. The proceedings in C.C.No.875/2014 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Payyannur are quashed.
