O R D E R The petitioners are the accused in Crime No.785/2013 of Kattakkada Police Station registered for the offence under Section 498A IPC. The first petitioner is the husband of the 3rd respondent and the second petitioner is his mother and the third petitioner is his sister. It is submitted that the matter has been settled between the parties and the proceedings in the criminal case may be quashed. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioners and of the 3rd respondent and also the learned Public Prosecutor. 3.

The third respondent has appeared through a counsel and filed an affidavit to the effect that the matter has been settled and she has no objection to the proceedings in the criminal case being quashed. Having regard to the nature of the case I am satisfied that this is a fit case to invoke the jurisdiction of this Court under Section

Crl.M.C.No.6761/2014.

In the result, this petition is allowed. The proceedings in Crime No.785/2013 of Kattakkada Police Station are quashed.
