We have seen Annexure 1 order and the affidavit filed in support of the request for sanction to draw and disburse an amount of 10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs only) towards Chief Minister's ₹ Relief Fund of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Looking into the nature of funds that would be available under Sections 25 and 26 of the Travancore-Cochin Hindu Religious Institutions Act, 1950 and Rules and noticing that the relief for which the provision is sought to be made is one that can be treated as charity within the purpose of religion, though without being confined to the beneficiaries belonging to any particular religion, we grant approval as sought for. The accounting will be appropriately adjusted against the surplus funds under Section 26 as may be available or as and when it accrues.

DBA ordered accordingly.
