The Cochin Devaswom Board has sought permission for effecting repairs to Narayanamandiram, Chottanikkara Temple, on 78% above the estimate rate of Rs.9,60,000/-. This Court had by Annexure-2 order dated 21.10.2013 in D.B.P No.126 of 2013, already granted permission to carry out the repairs. But the tenderer who was awarded the contract on 5% above the estimate rate, withdrew from the same and the work had to be re-tendered.
2.
The learned Ombudsman has filed a report as CDB Report No.70 of 2015 recommending the grant of permission by this Court, along with Annexure-A report of the Executive Engineer showing the market rate justification of the excess rate awarded. The Local Fund Audit has also accorded its noobjection . 3.
In the light of the above report as well as the
D.B.P No.46 of 2015 endorsement made by the Local Fund Audit, we grant permission as prayed for. The expenditure will be subject to audit. The D.B.P is closed accordingly.
