ORDER
Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan, J.
Perused the application and report of the learned Ombudsman. We are of the view that the Local Fund Audit has rightly remarked that the contractor's profit and overhead charges cannot be allowed, if the Temple Advisory Committee is to carry out the work and that the works ought to be carried out under the supervision of the Maramath wing of the Cochin Devaswom Board. Permission as sought for is granted subject to the conditions that the Maramath wing of Cochin Devaswom Board will supervise the work and 10% of contractor's profit and 5% of overhead charges shall not be allowed to the Temple Advisory Committee. The Samithi shall keep the proper accounts. The unused items like old wood etc. removed shall be auctioned and the amounts remitted to the Devaswom
D.B.P.No.51/15 Fund. The expenditure incurred will be subjected to audit to ensure transparency.
D.B.P ordered accordingly.
