This is a report submitted by the Deputy Director of Local Fund Audit, Cochin Devaswom Audit, Thrissur, after conducting an audit of the accounts of Ratholsavam at Lankeswaram Siva Temple, Chittur, Palakkad District in the year 2012-2013 as directed by this Court in the order passed on 8.10.2003 in O.P.No.39127 of 2001. The report was forwarded to the Honourable Ombudsman pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 3.7.2013. The Honourable Ombudsman thereafter issued notice to the parties and conducted a hearing on 16.7.2013. After hearing the parties, the Honourable Ombudsman has submitted a report dated 23.7.2013 to the effect that as no irregularity has been pointed out by the Local Fund Audit, the report may be accepted.
2. Heard Sri.V.Krishna Menon, learned standing counsel appearing for the Cochin Devaswom Board, Sri.A.Renjith, learned Senior Government Pleader appearing for the Local Fund Audit and Sri.Krishnakumar Mangot, learned Amicus Curiae. Perused the audit report as also the report submitted by the Honourable Ombudsman.
DBAR No.5/2013 In view of the stand taken by the Deputy Director of Local Fund Audit before the Honourable Ombudsman and as no irregularity has been pointed out by the Deputy Director of Local Fund Audit, Cochin Devaswom Audit, D.B.A.R. No.5 of 2013 is closed accepting the report submitted by the auditor.
