O R D E R

Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan, J.

1. The report of the learned Ombudsman deals with the shortcomings in maintenance of the strong rooms under the Travancore Devaswom Board. Now read the two reports placed on record. The relevant portion of those reports taken together read as follows:

1. Strong room of Neyyattinkara group located at Parassala Devaswom. The building has no complaints and is reported in proper condition.

2. Do. do. Trivandrum group at Valiasala Devaswom and its maintenance has been done just two years back.

3. Do. do. Warkala Janardhanaswamy Temple compound and the building is reported being in good condition.

4. Do. do. Kollam group at Anandavalleeswaram Devaswom and the building has been repaired recently.

5. Do. do. Kottarakkara group at Pattazhy Devaswom and Padinjattinkara Devaswom and

DBP.No.158/13 both the buildings are reported to have no complaints.

6. Do. do. Punalur group is at Puthiyedom Devaswom and its maintenance has been attended recently.

2. We record the submission on behalf of the Travancore Devaswom Board that those reports are true and correct statement of affairs relating to the different strong rooms.

3. This DBP is ordered directing that the Travancore Devaswom Board will ensure that all the strong rooms are appropriately maintained and that there shall be periodical review of the strong rooms by the Chief Engineer, Travancore Devaswom Board from the angle of their safety and also the security of the valuables which are kept in the strong rooms. DBP ordered accordingly.
