J U D G M E N T

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

According to the petitioners, the suit was listed on 04.06.2015 and PWs 1 and 2 were examined. Exts.A1 to A7 were marked. Subsequently, the case was adjourned for further evidence to 08.06.2015, on which date, PW3 was examined. The plaintiffs' evidence was closed and the matter was posted to 09.06.2015 for defence evidence. There was no defence evidence and consequently, the matter was posted for hearing to 16.06.2015, on which date, it was again adjourned to 22.09.2015. The court below ought to have heard the matter and disposed it of. 3.

Strangely enough, when the presiding officer of the court below was called upon to file a report with regard to the possible date within which the matter could be

disposed of, a letter has been sent to this Court without specifying any period within which the matter could be disposed of. The court below has reported that cases up to the year 2010 are the targeted matters of that court. It is not the concern of this Court or the party. The court below shall dispose of the suit, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
