J U D G M E N T

SM proceedings 1785 of 2015 has been initiated by the Land Tribunal, Tirur in respect of the property which is said to be in the possession of the petitioner. His grievance is that it is not being disposed of. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned government pleader.

The Land Tribunal has filed a statement to that effect that there are 14,000 cases pending in the Tribunal now, the number of the proceedings commenced or instituted in 2015 alone comes to 2664. This is said to be the reason for the delay in disposing of SM.1785 of 2015. It appears that the delay is due to genuine reasons. But he shall make attempt to dispose of SM.1785 of 2015 at least within nine months.

In the result this OP is disposed of with a direction to the Land Tribunal to try to dispose of SM 1785 of 2015

O.P.(C)No. 2772 of 2015 within nine months from the date of receipt or production of a copy of this judgment.
