JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is the 1st accused in C.C.No.722/2012 of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Nedumangad. He seeks speedy disposal of the case. There is report by the learned Magistrate that the total pendency in that court is 5093, and the learned Magistrate is confident that the case could be tried and disposed of within six months. The report also shows that the accused in the case including the petitioner herein have not so far made appearance in the court. The petitioner is yet to appear and seek bail. Such a person seeks a direction for early disposal. The report shows that on many occasions the counsel for the petitioner and the others had sought adjournment of the case. The request for speedy disposal by such a person cannot be entertained. However, the learned Magistrate has reported that the case can be disposed of within six months.

This report is recorded, and the original petition is closed. Sd/- P. UBAID, JUDGE sd
