J U D G M E N T
The only prayer in this Original Petition instituted under Article 227 of the Constitution of India under the visitorial power of superintendence conferred on this Court is as follows: "To issue a direction to the C.J.M, Manjeri to expedite the trial of C.C.No.257/2014."

As directed by this Court, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Manjeri, has furnished a report dated 19.6.2015 to the Registry for perusal of this Court wherein it is stated that the present case C.C.No.257/2014 is now posted for framing of charges to 23.7.2015 and that there are 9 witnesses cited by the prosecution in the report to prove the case and that after framing charges at least four months will be required for completion of the trial and the total number of cases pending before that court including Calendar cases and Miscellaneous Cases together comes to 810 as of now. 3.
Heard Sri.Babu S.Nair, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State of Kerala.

Taking into account the totality of the facts and circumstances of this case and considering the report dated 19.6.2015 furnished by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Manjeri, it is ordered in the interest of justice that the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Manjeri will take all reasonable endeavours to ensure that C.C.No.257/2014 is disposed of without much further delay and it is hoped and expected that C.C.No.257/2014 will be endeavoured to be finally disposed of by the court below within the time limit suggested in the report of that court. It is further made clear that this shall be subject to all the parties including the other witnesses concerned in fully co-operating with the court below for completion of trial as stated above. With these observations and directions, this Original Petition (Crl) stands finally disposed of.
